Facts and uses of Nutiva

Facts

  • It’s dairy-free, BUT, it’s processed in a facility that processes milk.
  • The dark version, which is in a purple bottle, even has carob mixed into it.
  • It is highly fattening. It is calorie dense. You can store up fat with it, even if you eat it for breakfast and not as an afternoon or evening snack.

Uses

  • Nutiva-frosted cake – healthier than standard cake frosting. You could also use it as cake stuffing.
  • Nutiva-frosted donuts – not so strong like the standard donut frosting at bakeries. Just get a plain donut and put Nutiva on it.
  • Nutiva-dipped dates – balances out some of the ickiness that some find in dates.
  • Nutiva-stuffed chocolate bars, or Nutiva cups.
  • Nutiva sandwiches – doesn’t matter if you use white bread, whole-wheat, or multi-grain.
